| 1. How is the hand-made silk quilt made? |
Generally speaking, the hand-made silk quilt is made through the following process: Mulberry tree-Silkworm-Cocoon-Cocoon cooking-Reel silk from cocoons-Silk Cap-Stretching Silk Layer-Making Silk Filling-Sewing into silk quilt, a brief picture introduction as below:

|
| 2. How many cocoons will be used to make a piece of silk quilt? |
| Take a double winter(220x240cm, 300g/sm) as sample, about 6,000 pieces of high quality cocoons will be used. |
|
|
| 3. How do you guarantee the quality of your silk quilts? |
Now many people prefer to the good quality silk quilts, many fake goods come into the market. In order to save cost, many factories using the man-made polyester as the filling, for normal consumers, it is hard to recognize.
For NB Bedding & Living Co., limited, we take the quality as the life of our company, and we will do the followings to guarantee the quality:
1) We will leave a 20cm open at our silk quilts, so that you can check the quality directly;
2) We can also make cheaper silk quilts with silk/polyester blended according to customers' requirements, but we will never use it to imitate 100% silk. |

|
| 4. What is the difference between hand-made silk quilt and machine-made silk quilt? |
Firstly, only the mulberry silk can be made by hand, because it is long fiber which can be stretched, and the best quality cocoons must be choosed, the whole process is all made by hand, no any chemical is used, and it is time cost, so the prices are high.
For machine-made silk quilt, the lower quality cocoons or tussah cocoons will be mixed into a machine to make the silk filling, the softener, bleacher and other chemicals will be used, because the machine can make the silk filling faster, so the cost will be lower. |

| 5. Where is your bamboo grown? |
| Our bamboo is grown in Sichuan province(Pandas' hometown)China. |
|
|
| 6. Can you make a brief introduction about the bamboo fiber? |
Bamboo fibre is a cellulose fibre fabricated from the pulp of bamboo plants. It is not made from the fibres of the plant, but is a synthetic viscose made from bamboo cellulose. The process mimicks the way the silkworm transforms the cellulose of the mulberry tree into fine filaments. Liquid cellulose is forced through a metal nozzle called a spinneret because it performs the same as the silkworms spinneret. As the filament is extruded it is hardened by a liquid bath. The filaments are later spun to make the bamboo fiber. So this process is about the same as rayon and acetate which are also man made fibers made from natural materials rather than a synthetic such as polyester. Bamboo products sold in the US should be labeled vicose from bamboo. Viscose rayon is made from cotton fiber or wood pulp. Currently the patent for this process for bamboo is held ın China and so all bamboo fiber is coming from China. |

| 7. How is the water absorbability comparing with cotton? |
| Bamboo absorbs water 3-4 times better than cotton.Bamboo fabric is a natural moisture wicking agent. Moisture is taken from the body, on contact, and then instantly evaporates. Bamboo’s ability to absorb water accounts for its capacity for rapid growth, which is also retained in fabric form. |
|
|
| 8. What are the properties of the bamboo fabric? |
1) Naturally Organic - bamboo is grown without pesticides or fertilisers, unlike conventional cotton which uses 25% of all the worlds' pesticides and occupies less than 10% of the agricultural land mass.
2) Sustainable - Moso bamboo is one of the world¡¯s fastest growing plants, growing up to a metre in a day. Bamboo is a grass, so when you cut it the bamboo plant itregenerates quickly without the need for replanting. It grows very densely and so the yield per acre is excellent in comparison to cotton.
3) Eco-friendly - one of the most positive things about bamboo is that it absorbs 35% more carbon dioxide than equivalent stands of trees. More bamboo would help to cut the globally rising levels of carbon dioxide and help in the fight against global warming.
4) Luxuriously soft - bamboo feels like silky cashmere. It also line dries very well. Cotton towels when line dried on a windless hot day often become stiff where a bamboo towel remains soft and pliable.
5) Absorbent - bamboo absorbs up to 60% more water than cotton. This makes it an excellent choice for towels and bathrobes.
6) Hypoallergenic - bamboo's organic and natural properties make it non-irritating so perfect for extra sensitive skin
7) Breathable - the porous nature of the fibre makes it breathable and extremely comfortable against the skin.
8) Thermo-regulating - keeps the wearer warm in cool weather. |
